I believe such scripts work great, but sorry, I have no intentions to become a programmer, nor do I have the time to learn scripting :) For me, GUI-clicking is the only thing I manage. I really need simple, fast and intuitive solutions, sorry. Alexander Wagner wrote: > In this case I admit tha

Thanks for your help! Yes, Benoit, that is a cunning workaround for a small Scidbase with 20 games. Tagging 80 or more games by hand in a special header each might be harder, though. Alexander, I agree with you, that in many cases it might be clever not to sort at all and have a quick search d

[Scid-users] Sorting games in a Base

2009-08-17 Thread psotar
Hi, let's say I have 20 games in a Scidbase. I would like to make game #17 my game #5. My old #5 becomes #6, #6 becomes #7 and so on. What is the quickest way to achieve this, if my choice of regrouping is not based on semantic criteria, so using flags, in that case, will not help me? -

May I make this a feature request then, for upcoming releases? Of course, I have a lot of respect for all your efforts to add powerful new features to Scid, for example to make Scid more FICS-compliant, but I already have a good interface that connects me to FICS and I do not need a second one.

[Scid-users] Copy Variation

Hello, is it possible to copy/paste a variation from one game to another? In the Edit menu I see only the items Add v., Delete v., Make first v., Promote v. and Try v. At the moment, I copy the whole game to another scidbase, promote the variation to main line, strip all other lines and then I
