The clipbase is a _temporary_ database, for things you don't want to save.
If you want to save games, create a database, you will be asked where you
want to place it. Then work in that.

Generally in Scid moves in variations are less easy to do stuff with than
main game moves.

They're supposed to be already deleted with the delete flag set (e.g., they
shouldn't show up in searches), but they do still show in places (e.g., the
game list -- which is where you could undelete them if you wished).

Yes, with the Pattern Search dialog, the bit on the top right side.
For instance, you can search for white bishop on b2, white bishop on g2,
white knight on d2, white knight on e2, white pawn on d3, white pawn on e3.
That should give you more or less all white hippos, I think.

I've been trying to locate one as well - for Windows Vista. Seems the only
Windows one there is for Win95, and it doesn't seem to work (does that still
use Winsock?).
Should it work, or is there another version?
