What kind of filesystem (ext2,3,4,ntfs) are you using on the disk?

i was trying to save a game in Scid and when
I pressed CTRL + S instead of bringing the save dialog, it was the
setup board dialog who was displayed, in order to save my game i went
to the menu and ther i could get the save dialog.
¿is this a bug or a remap of button actions?

This is just my opinion.
One of the things that i love of Scid is that it's really fast... and
its bases are really small in size.
If adding this long game support means losing speed in searches,
increasing the size and so... I don't knows if the advantages will
justify the lose of perform
Why don't you try just "make install", i think that everything is gonna
work just fine, i think the same thing happened to me an nothing to
worry about

I think that you have just to recompile the new package from the sources
and install it, it will overwrite all of your wrong files.
Scid never crashed on my system (slackware-12.2), What's the message you
receive?, if the message it`s that your engine crashes that's a
different thing
