Yes, I'm sure there is. Compile a kernel with NTFS support, then mkbootdsk
using that kernel should be close to being there.

You can't just update your kernel AFAIK, you have to completely re-compile
it to support NTFS.
Look on the Linux Documentation Project for instructions on how to do this.

I didn't even know NTFS support came as a module. If so, can't you just

How do I add NTFS support to redhat 7.3? I went to control panel and added it
as a module. It asked me to run "make symlinks dep"... I had figured out this
has to be done in the same directory as the the kernel but what is the next
step. Does this mean I have to recompile the kernel?
Sorry, I left one thing out...
Please note the addition of item number 14.
Also, to be on the safe side (otherwise you may have to reinstall) you
may want to edit the Makefile in /usr/src/linux- to create a
kernel with a different name from the one supplied by RedHat. You can

Linux can read NT partitions. There is a NTFS module available on the
Sunsite archive (look in ../filesystems/). I have compiled the most
recent version of the module I could find (Jan 1998), and it runs fine
(read-only, though) on my machine (NT4, Linux 2.0.30). I understand that
