How do I add NTFS support to redhat 7.3? I went to control panel and added it
as a module. It asked me to run "make symlinks dep"... I had figured out this
has to be done in the same directory as the the kernel but what is the next
step. Does this mean I have to recompile the kernel? Does that mean to issue
the makefile command or something else and what exactly will that do to grub
which will be looking for the kernel file at boot-up? Will I need to
re-configure an entry in there???????

Can someone walk me through the rest of the process?!?!?!?

I had asked this question to the list a few days back and I didn't get a
response. I'd like to think that it was simply not seen because although I am
a newbie in respects to linux systems I am very familiar with windows and
although I can simply get by on that knowledge, I'd like to learn something
new but it's hard especially when I have no reference material for this sort
of thing. I also know this sometimes means that the ones with the knowledge
sometimes gets impatient with newbies, I have been one of these people
before. But I think it's rude to ignore these people. Personally, I've tried
to find information on this subject but haven't really found anything that I
could use. Maybee I'm stupid but everybody started out the same way and
"experts" seem to forget this sometimes.

Maybee this means that I'm in the wrong newsgroup but I've found some
information usefull in the past and I've had some of my questions answered
satisfactorily but at other times I have not. I guess I just had to get this
sort of thing off my back but it is a little fustrating having to re-install
every few days cause I messed something up and it's very easy to go back to
the OTHER operating system. I'd like to think that newbies are welcome here
and that the others will be there to answer some questions if the newbie
makes a genuine attempt at finding the answers themselves (again in my case
resulting in a OS that wouldn't boot) <- yeah I'm an idiot, ok?
