This is a browser-bug. All that the HTTP server does is just transfer the

Hi Joel,
Thanks for your e-mail!
Sorry that I have mis-spelled 'SCR' instead of 'SRC' in my e-mail.
But in my actual Web html file it is correct (i.e., SRC). Otherwise,
Netscape4.04 won't display the image either (I believe).
Thanks!

Hi L.M.,
Thanks for your e-mail!
Yes, I did check my Netscape3.0.3: the option->autoload images
is checked (i.e., inward). In my previous e-mail 'SCR' should
be 'SRC'. But that is just a mis-spelling in my e-mail.
Could this be an ISP problem? - I am just guessing randomly.
Thanks!

this isn't working because the image tag needs a SRC attribute.. not a
SCR attribute.. that's where your problem is. =) .. just a slight
overlooking .. that's all.

did you by any chance disable the options->autoload images in netscape
3.x; if so make sure it is checked out. You HTML doesn't seem to have
any problems, as long as there is nothing in the html file.

Hi L. M. Marchese (and Others),
Thanks for your responses to my question on Netscape.
But I still cannot figure out this problem.
In my Web page, I have the following:
http://abc.com/~pching/images/lbook.gif" ALIGN="left">
where images is a directory under ~pching/public_html
This displays OK
You need to have the "Alias /icons/" pointing to the right directory.
Hope this helps

Are the images really 'broken' or they don't appear? The browser could be
configured to not load images (to save bandwidth ususally) so you might want
to check your preferences.
Just an idea!

Hi All,
I have a Web server running RedHat5.0 with Apache.
What I have experienced is:
1) If accessing the Web page with Navigator 3.03,
all images are broken.
2) If accessing the Web page with Navigator 4.04,
all images are displayed OK.
I cannot figure out if this is a problem w

Hello All
I'am using RH-5.0 with the updates in a P-200 MHz.
I use Netscape--4.04.
Each time I leave netscape for, say 15 minuts, without browsing a specific
URL, I find that netscape blows away.
There is no record of netscape in ps, no record in logs nothing. It simply
desapears from my scree
