to obey ur hand again.
Find the file /etc/X11/XF86Config

FWIW, I have a "Dell by Microsoft" IntelliMouse 1.3 wheel mouse on both
a generic desktop and a Dell Lattitude notebook. The wheel works fine on
both.
My /etc/X11/XF86Config under RH9 contains exactly what you posted with
the exception that the protocol for input device mouse 0 is IMPS/2, i.e.
Don't want to bug the list, but there has to be someone out there who
can help with my mouse issue I posted a while ago?
I have a dell 5150 P4 running RH9.0. I installed RH9.0 with just my
built in mousepad present. I have recompiled the kernel to load in a
wifi card. Since then, my mousepad works

Hello,
I am encountering a strange problem with RH 8.0/RH 7.3
mouse configuration.
Highlighting text(Cut and paste) works once the m/c is booted.
But if it remains idle for 3(don't know exactly) hours or so, I am
not able select any text and drag/drop with the mouse doesn't
work, so have to rebo

I am having trouble getting my USB mouse to work after a kernel recompile,
Iam using kernel 2.4.18-18.8.0 which I downloaded through up2date.
After I tested the new kernel and it worked I removed the old kernel
with rpm -e kernel-2.4.18-14. As a test I recompiled the kernel using the
original kern

My brother is having problems with the mouse on a 486 system I gave
him. We can't figure out why it isn't working correctly. It works with
Windoze apps and the BIOS bootup menu, but not with XFree86 (3.3.6
IIRC). We've tried every combination of driver and protocol there is,
and it still acts c
Hi all,
I upgraded to Intel RH 6.1 last weekend and have installed all of the
errata updates. Whenever I switch from a text console back into X, the
mouse behaves as if both buttons are constantly pressed emulating the
middle button on a 3 button mouse. This happens in Gnome and Fvwm. I

tty1 represents the first console -- you don't want to do that. And cua1
represents com2. Use cua0 if it is your first com port.

Hi, I just installed RH5.0 from scratch (I had previously upgraded over
4.2) and I can't get the mouse to work.
It had been working fine under 4.2, even after the upgrade. But under
5.0, I just can't seem to get the bugger to work.
I've tried just about all of the 'gpm -t {mm|msc|logi...} modes,
