I am trying to block file extenstions. Now I find that some excel,word docs
are not getting through. here is how i blocked .bat, .scr etc. what am i

That's just a Zip drive. You're will list the scanner (and whatever else

well on linux as it did on win98. Gimp is a little crankier than Photoshop

Excuse my ignorance I'm a newbie to linux (Redhat7.2), I was hoping to buy
Epson 1650p USB scanner and I have know idea what type of usb I have.
I have a MSI 5184 baby AT motherboard with a msi usb adaptor card, my usb
mouse works fine so I,m hoping the scanner will to

hmmm, look for sane howto and xsane howto files. I think it'll be them that
show you how to configure your scanner and get it going. The scanner has to
be twain compatible for any of the sane packages to support it though.
