All,

I'm looking at putting together an all-in-one security gateway for a
small company. They have several Windows PCs on a broadband
connection. So far, my plan is to implement a box with two network
cards to act as the following:

NAT gateway
iptables packet-filtering firewall
email server
 - spam assassin
 - mailscanner
 - clanav

I'm thinking of trying to implement some sort of http port scanning to
stop virii and other malware from coming in through their web
browsing. Trend Micro has a tool called "Virus Wall" that will
supposedly do this on the HTTP, SMTP and FTP ports, and I was
wondering whether or not anything similar might be available for
linux. I tried googling for 'squid' and 'malware', thinking that the
squid proxy server might have some kind of scanning hooks or
something, but found nothing. I've also tried squid's FAQ, and also
no joy.

Anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks!

Ben
