Greetings everyone.
First, thanks to everyone that helped me out with the NFS mount

I've got a RH 6.2 box running the default kernel. Its primary function

How many sessions are attempting to connect at a time (roughly)?
It could just be that inetd is shutting down the service to prevent a

Not knowing if there is another problem, what about
I need to use RSH sessions in rapid succession (if not in parallel) from
a script. My problem is that the first RSH session works perfectly, but
rapid subsequent sessions are timing out. I considered it might be a
reverse DNS lag, and disabled the -a flag on the rshd line of inetd.conf
