Hi All,
Well, when printing works, its easy. When it doesn't...
I'm running a Redhat 7.3 system and got a new HP LaserJet 1300. I tried
setting it up with cups, but in order to get the newest drivers to work,

I used all the drivers under 932c in printtool and nothing seems to fix it

Assuming the command "lpr filename" works from the command line, place
the string "|lpr" in the xpdf print dialog box. See "man xpdf", look
for the paragraph headed "print button."

Hi all,
I have a machine setup with Redhat 7.3. Everything is fine, but I am

Hi,
It could be that your 'tmp' area was not large enough to spool
the print job. In cases like that you are advised to use lpr's

Hi,
I have a problem that used to work on earlier RH systems. I just want to
find out if it's me, or if it's a bug (before file a bugzilla report)...
I have a remote print queue on a HP-UX system.
I run print tool.
The result printcap is essentially identical to a working RH5.2 system:

I ahve RH 6.0 installed and it has been stable for about a year.
Currently up for 59 days. Remote print queue setup on an HP LaserJet4M

I'm following this with interest, because I've had similar (but not
identical) problems with my HP 4P. In my case, printouts are blown up
several hundred times and do not fit onto the page, no matter what options
I select.
Perhaps there's an answer out there for both of us. :)

If you're using RedHat's default kernel then the modules needed for both
the printer and the zip drive are probably present.
To start the zip driver use the following command (if you're using
RedHat 5.1 -- if not then substitute the proper module directory):
insmod /lib/modules/2.0.34-0.6/scsi/p
