file

request not recognized
The password of the user was changed with passwd in

I just installed openssh 2.1.0p3 on two machines, both
running redhat
i386.
One has redhat 6.0 and sshd installed and runs fine.
The other has redhat 6.2 and sshd does not work so
well.
Whenever someone logging in via ssh enters their
password, I get this
error in syslog:
PAM_pwdb[942]: get
Hi, we started getting this error last night, which results in failed
logins for every service using pam. The passwd file appears to be fine and
I can still use sudo as a normal user, but login, ftp, su, pop etc. all
fail. In each case /var/log/messages shows "PAM_PWDB() no such user".
