Hi, we started getting this error last night, which results in failed logins for every service using pam. The passwd file appears to be fine and I can still use sudo as a normal user, but login, ftp, su, pop etc. all fail. In each case /var/log/messages shows "PAM_PWDB() no such user". I assume pam got hosed. I tried reinstalling the pam rpms, but still no go. Can someone tell me what is the problem and how to fix it?
