Are you setting the ip's on the other machines statically? If not, you
can set up a dhcp server. Does this Siemens modem have an ethernet
connection? If so, there are plenty of howto's out there for this.
You'll need two NIC's in the Linux box...eth0 connected to the DSL

Hi,
You have to configure your RH9 machine as a Gateway. This can be done
with iptables or ipchains.
You can check the following page for some scripts that will configure
your machine as a gateway.

Good luck!

Hello all,
I recently retired my Netgear RT314 Cable/DSL router and set up a
Windows 2000 server with internet connection sharing to be my router.
The machine I put this on is a little P200 machine, and was easy to set
up (we're talking 5 clicks). The network monitoring tool I use is
CyberGauge.

Glenn,
On your RH box, do you have IP_forwarding turned
on and you have setup the rule for ip masquerading in the
iptables?

Pepijn - If you're not running a DHCP server, give your XP machine a static IP address on the local subnet, such as 192.168.1.50, net mask 255.255.255.0. Make the Gateway address on the XP machine 192.168.1.1. You might have to reboot to
