run lsof and look for the lock, e.g. if the file is named INBOX

Hello!
Last days we have in our maillog strange errors for some users :
ipop3d[somenumber]: Error opening or locking INBOX user=certain user
For other users the mail is ok.
After rebooting the system everything is ok!
Where can we see if the mailbox is locked or not?

Not sure what you are posting here, but the error below will happen under
certain scenarios..
1 there are more than one person trying to access the pop acc
2 a connection died before closing off properly and the pop server thinks
there is still a client connected, there fore will hold
