I figured out mplayer: # mplayer -dvd 1 -vo x11 [-vop dint] [-zoom] I included the "-vo x11" to play on external monitor. (Don't understand why this is not needed when I play on just laptop LCD) "-zoom" allowed me to expand the window to full screen. I thought "-vop dint" would do some deinterl
