Hi
I have a Sparklan wireless (802.11b) card that's causing problems on RH
8. This uses Prism II chips.
In order to get it running, I needed to updgrade to pcmcia 2.4 - which
required downloading and compiling. All went well and the card is
recognised and works fine (including encryption) - for a

Red Hat 4.x used an earlier 2.0.x kernel which did not allow you to

Hi
Well - I have been receiving quite a few messages about this that want
to know what I turn up. It also seems that I didn't explain myself too
clearly about what I am looking for.
1) I am looking for software like MS Project - a full featured project
management tool (and I realise that MS P

Hi
Red Hat Software is looking around for project management software that
runs on Unix. We would be very interested in recommendations from our
users as to their experiences with software.
Please note - we are interested in packages that run on Unix (not
necessary Linux, any Unix is OK) ONLY!

Hi
I just want to clarify a few things about modems. In this instance
please note that I am talking as teh author of the PPP-HOWTO and not as
any sort of spokesperson for Red Hat.
1) Winmodems: these will at best work at 9,600 baud on Linux - if at
all. Avoid at all costs.
2) PnP (internal)

Whilst each swap partition can only be < 128MB, you can have 16 swap
partitions - which will give you up t

As root, fire up X and run netcfg. Go to routing and check the IP
Forwarding box.
If you want to avoid using X, simply edit
/etc/sysconfig/network
and set
FORWARD_IPV4=yes
as desired.

I have now received too many requests to post sample scripts to the

Please note that these scripts are for a non-PAP connection.
A careful reading of these scripts should be reasonably self
explanatory!
Remember, you start the ppp connection by giving the command
