me an option of two. Odd thing is that the motherboard has only one CPU
installed but I've seen references in boot up statements etc that make it
look like there are two. Is this an issue?

The motherboard is an Intel D815EEA and has the video and ethernet
connection on board.

the second.. Booting off the second disk
still fails. All I get is "grub- loading stage two" in an endless loop.
Any help would be appreciated,

running a dual boot and my other OS reads the hard drive periodically, as
you'd expect.
I'm using a Compaq 233 with 48Mb of RAM and an IDE drive and I'm logging in
as root. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.
