How do I copy my 'home' dir the easiest way? When I try to copy it as root I
get some error msg of diffrent kinds.

Now I have /var on the same part. as avarything else (hda6) but I want to move
it to its own part. (/var at hda8).
How should I do that? Shall I just make the /var part and then cahnge its
mountpoint in fstab?

I think you misunderstand me. What I mean is, the amount of alternatives makes
me unsure of what to choose. ("bother" was maybe a bad choise of word)
If I chose one version I maybe miss some nice features from anotgher and vice
versa...

I try to hit "make" in the first step (create dclib) it says;

When I try to add my /mp3 dir (wich is one of my FAT part.) in the XMMS
playlist jus one or two of like 2000 files appear. Its like XMMS dont
recognize them as mp3-files.
Any suggestions?

Its a bug that came with RH8.0.
There is a solution (wich were verry simple and worked for me) posted on this
list a few days ago, try serach for it (I cant find it right now). Check the

installed. So I reinstalled rsh and everything went fine.
(Of course, after installing openssh I removed rsh.)

should put you on the save site, too.

In /etc/fstab
'/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro 0 0'
replace 'owner' with 'user'.
Try 'man mount' and read more about it.
