Hi there,
I've been looking around the XFree86 web site trying to find recommendations
for a video card that is supported by X. The people there seem fairly
cautious about actually recommending anything. What are people here using
or know to work fairly well? I'm not doing any really fancy. J
Sorry this is off topic. Does anyone know where I can find the color order
for fabricating my own RJ45 patch cable. I've got the tools and parts.
Just don't know what order to put them in. Is there a site out there
somebody knows of?
thanks,
rob

Hi there,
I'm trying desperately to get the WHFC running on win95 with HylaFax running
on a Linux box.
so far I've got HylaFax working it seems but I've now been told that I need
ghostscript 5 to make the WHFC go. Where can I get more info on
ghostscript? I have no idea what it is.

Hi there,
I had a look around the the Red Hat page but could not find an RPM for a
HylaFax server package. Is there one in existance maybe as a contribution
by somebody out there? If so can somebody point me where I can find it?
Are there any known problems with it or special advice that anybo
Hi there,
thanks for your reply. All that you mention checks out fine. perhaps I
wasn't clear in my original post or I misunderstand what you are getting at.
IP forwarding is working fine. I've setup PC's on the hub with 192.168.1.1

Hi there,
I'm having a serious problem here. I have been able to set up my machine
to accept PPP connection. I can dial from a win95 machine and use PAP to
authenticate and connect. I can then ping my linux box but that's about it.
Any attempt to telnet or ftp yields nothing. no login prompt
I'm still very new to BRU. (2 days) Does anyone out there have brutab
setting for the Seagate TapeStor 3200? It's set up to use /dev/zqft0 (and
i imagine /dev/nzqft0 athough i haven't tried it yet). It's running on a
486DX-33 with 20MB of RAM if that makes any difference. 0x370, irq6, DMA 2.
Hi there,
I posted this problem I was having yesterday but didn't see it show up in
the digest and didn't get any resposes so I'm guessing the mail at school is
screwing up again.
I just installed Red hat on a new machine the first time I ran X everything
seemed to be fine. Now I may have touc

I'm not sure i understand how this works exactly.. if you have a small
partition that only holds your kernel (or does it hold more) then how does
it find the /etc directory with the f
Ok. I've realized that getting the T3000 to work in this machine is
probably going to be a really big pain. I've been able to find a FC20 card
to control it but for another $80 and I won't have it till Friday at the
earliest. The place I bought it from said that they will take it back for

hi there,
does anybody out there happen to have BRU working with the HP Colorado
T3000? I just picked one up and really hope it isn't known to be
incompatible. It says it complies with QIC-3020 Wide which ftape is
supposed to work with.
That said I am having a hard time determining if this t
hi there,
