my /etc/rc.d/rc.local file:
# Setup non-standard serial IRQ's
setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq 5 spd_vhi
That tells Linux that ttyS2 (COM3) is on IRQ5 - the default will assume
IRQ 4, which is also in use by the first serial port (ttyS0 aka COM1).
Hope that helps!

ason to open the drive up and change that. I guess Seagate acquired
Archive's technology a few years back - the 2GB DDS-1 drive that I
replaced was actually made by Archive...
Hope this info helps you figure out your problem...

Hope this helps!

You've got a point. I'm pushing for a written Internet policy for the
company, but its taking a little while to get one published. I was
hoping to block the stuff anyway

I know a lot in the mailing list may consider this to be censorship, but
I have a real problem with an otherwise good employee who apparently has
a tendency to go surfing for pornography on the WWW. I would like to
block it if I can...
Thanks!

Arkeia (sp?) make a shareware (try for 30 days) backup package that

A cheaper tape drive with more expensive tapes could cost more in the
long run than a 4mm DDS-3 or DDS-4 drive, with cheaper tapes.
