Thanks guys. I can now use 1280x1024 on both screens, if I specify
xinerama in the XF86Config-4 file itself. But, I cannot run the second
monitor above 60hz sync. The first one can be set at 85, 76, 74, 60,
but the second one is always at 60hz. Is it possible to make both
go at 75hz?
Thanks muc
Both the monitors are identical. I did try to clone the monitor section
as "Dell P991 1" and "Dell P991 2". Now (regardless of if I have one
or two monitor sections), I get the same exact display cloned in both
the monitors. I would like to have different display in both monitors.

I am attaching XF86Config-4 with this email. Basically, if I run it at
1280x1024, then
it clones the same desktop on both the monitors. If I run it with
1024x768, the
image on the first monitor is wierd (looks like a vertical venetian
blind). In some
configuration screen one has a horizontal sync
Hi Charles,
I did everything mentioned in the Xinerama HOWTO. It does everything
except let me use the mouse and keyboard on screen :0.1. In the logs,
the MGA driver mentioned that it initializes the built-in extension

Thanks much

I've finally gotten the second head to work with RH 7.0 and Beta 3
drivers from Matrox. I can drive two monitors at 1024x768 and 16 bits

in the different screens (sawfish and kwm). But the mouse and keyboard
only seems to work

, all the windows are closed and the netscape

about this?
Thanks

While redhat 6.0 installation, is it possible to leave some of the
partitions (not / or /usr)
un-formatted and continue to mount and install ?
I would like to have two partitions /abc and /xyz as raw and out of the
mount list.
Is it possible ?

Is there any way to make a filesystem behave like a raw partition ?
That is, if I dont format it and also dont mount it, can I access it ?

like to have a few raw partitions for database usage. I am using disk druid
tool to do this while installation of redhat 6.0.
