If can gain the neccary cvs access rights, why not just create a new branch?
Anyone in the future can clearly determine what changes where made since the
branch was made and people who rely on the old versi

flawlessly and took about 20 seconds. You may want to look at this

How were your install CD's made? If they were burned from downloaded
iso images, the images MUST be MD5SUM checked. This looks like bad
installation media.

You do not specify what you used to write to tape as far as software. My
guess is you used ufsdump and you are trying to restore using
restore. Sun. in modifying dump/restore to create ufsdump/ufsrestore made
one major change that causes cross-platform grief - they changed the
default to 1024
I had the same problem it uses ipchains by default in the install mode,
I did the following to disable it.
Went into X and loaded serviceconf, edited runtime 3 and 5 to disable
ipchains and use iptables instead.

Hello there, if you have Win98 alreay onstalled then you could use Partition
Magic 7 to make the Linux partitions. saves you all the head ache. After
creating the EXT2 and swap partitions just boot from the linux install cd
and the installation will go smooth as silk.
