I think most jdk releases from javasoft are installed under a common
parent and their supporting scripts assuming this. The
jdk-sbb-1.1.6-2.1.2glibc.i386.rpm package that I just
installed has decided to rearrange things like the following
./usr/bin/jdk-1.1.6
./usr/doc/jdk-sbb-1.1.6
./usr/include
I've just installed the sbb jdk rpm and I notice that
the .java_wrapper script is written to assume that
the entire jdk ie. lib and bin is under a common parent.
that's not the case with the rpm I installed and consequently
.java_wrapper (who's ever idea it is) doesn't work.

The terminfo in RH51 seems to be broken. What I have noticed is that it
goes to /usr/share/terminfo where it supposed to. However, what I have
found is programs like statnet look for the terminfo in /usr/lib/terminfo
The quick fix is to go to /usr/lib

Which packages do I have to downgrade not to have egcs at all?
(instead: gcc + old g++)
I tried to uninstall egcs-packages, libstc++ and to install the
pendant-packages from RH 5.0, but I still got compiling (better
linker-errors) when compiling QT or KDE progs
