The gfortran package for Mac OS X is missing a man page. It does have an .info
file but I think a man page would still be useful for those who use R's
gfo
intel binaries?
Also, Makeconf is not setup to create universal binary libraries. Will this
be done at some point?
Lastly, R.mpkg crashes Apple's Remote Desktop 2.2 when installing on a
client. I was wondering if anyone else sees this?

The .Call overhead isn't the issue. If you'd like some insight into what you
are doing wrong (and right), you need to provide code for the list to reproduce
your timings with.

Is there a distinction as to NOTE vs. WARNING that is documented? I've
always assumed (wrongly?) that NOTES weren't an issue with publishing on
CRAN, but that they may change to WARNINGS at some point.
Is the process by which this happens documented somewhere?

A combination of RUnit from CRAN and .Rbuildignore provide a workable
solution for the 'xts' package I work on, though this obviously
removes the tests from the distributed code.
