I'm the author of the Blue Marble (3D Earth model) plasmoid.
I think it should be removed from 4.3 (perhaps moved to playground?). The
reason is that it's somewhat broken (wrt scaling and rotating) and doesn't
really have a purpose, other than just demoing opengl possibilities in
plasmoids.
