Hi I'm the author of the Blue Marble (3D Earth model) plasmoid. I think it should be removed from 4.3 (perhaps moved to playground?). The reason is that it's somewhat broken (wrt scaling and rotating) and doesn't really have a purpose, other than just demoing opengl possibilities in plasmoids.
I realize it would have been better to do it earlier, but it's a removal of a feature (and strings), so I'm hoping that the feature freeze doesn't apply. So, is it ok to remove it? Or move to playground, which option do you prefer (note that I don't have plans to work on it anytime soon)?
