For the record I have worked to maintain this code. And I have committed to
fixing these bugs for the 4.4 release and said as much in the bug report. If my
efforts have been/are inadequate feel free to remove the module.

Mmmh so I did it the wrong way because I implemented the event on my
applet class and not on the graphicsWidget(). I'll fix this soon.
