Been a while since I've done this so I'm a bit out of practise.
I'm getting a segfault loading one of my usenet groups with Pan 0.132 and
Pan 0.133. I've just grabbed SVN trunk and done a quick compile with
./configure --enable-debug
make
Then run it as follows
gdb ./pan/gui/pan

I checked the previously posted link for a Mac build at

For the most part it is a great improvement over the old Pan. NBZ
support and the better memory footprint alone are awesome, but I do have
a couple of niggles.
1. Articles aren't marked as read when downloaded.
2. I do miss the tri mode state of articles - New, Old, Read. Certain
text groups I do

One thing I appear to be missing is the ability to view new headers vs
unread headers. I really found this feature useful in the older Pan
releases. Is it just missing?

I've just posted a bug report with the required patch.
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444184
This fixes 2 issues.
1. Missing includes required for chmod
2. Support for GTK < 2.6 in a couple of key areas.

Ok hit another GTK 2.4 issue and i'm not sure how to fix this one
if g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../.. -DXTHREADS -D_REENTRANT
-DXUSE_MTSAFE_API -pthread -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0
-I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/

I currently use Pan across 3 environments
1. Server running Centos4
2. Laptop running RHEL4
3. Desktop running Ubuntu Feisty
Now I like to keep them running equivalent builds of Pan so I can
synchronise headers.
Problem building recent Pan on RHEL4 seems to need a lot of additional
dependencies.

This is "weekly" beta #17 of a full Pan redesign and rewrite in C++.
It's now feature-complete for an upcoming 1.0 release and is being cycled
through weekly betas to squash as many bugs as possible before 1.0.

Hit a number of compile time issues trying to get 0.99 up and running on
RHEL4/Centos4. I've included a diff file of the changes I had to apply
to the vanilla sources to get things working. Hopefully it will help
other people hitting the same pain as me.
If anyone is interested I could start

Any one had any luck. Got an issue as libpcre3-dev doesn't have a
libpcre.pc file so configure breaks.

I'm running a build based off CVS which greatly improves the memory
usage and general performance of Pan. So whats the state of actually
tagging an official release that the various distros can build off?

I've noticed that if a binary attachment is released with a part [00/NN]
as well as parts [01/NN] -> [NN/NN] then I only see the first [00/NN]
part. Hence i'm unable to download the actual attachment as it doesn't
show up.
