Hi. I'm starting to like Pan 0.9x. Got 0.98 up just now.
I had a random crash when downloading all headers in a group. I reran
it in gdb and the crash didn't happen that time.
One clear bug. When I select a directory for saving attachments, it
doesn't stick (reverts to my home directory.)

Removing a news server is only possible by editing the servers.xml file
in ~/.pan2 it doesn't work via the gui.
I select remove and nothing happens.

Hi Charles,
I like your idea of assigning each news server a numerical rank.
I've been editing my servers.xml to use that feature.

preferences for downloading. I would never choose to post thru

I recently rebuilt an older machine with Windows XP SP2 and all patches.
Pan 0.9x seems to crash on startup on the recently rebuilt machine. I used
the GTK release supplied from the Rebelbase site. I tried two different
versions of Pan with different results. I tried copying over my xml config

A couple of items - I don't think these are new!

'match only unread articles' - the right hand one I think should read
'match only cached articles' (but it doesn't appear to do anything - there

Ah yes it does, shame on me for missing that.
Still i like the old way better, bold for unread messages, normal for
old unread messages, and light grey for read messages.

Any chance of a new feature, well it's sort of new because I believe it's
available as a patch to the old version of pan that stopped being
developed back in 2003.
The feature ? Making an SSL connection to the newserver. It'd be great for
bypassing traffic shaping that some ISPs to do to limit c
