Currently a detailed explanation doesn't exist and finding what does exist is a
little bit of a snipe hunt.
The short (and almost criminally incomplete) answer is:
unzip the nant file into "program files\nant"
unzip the nant-contrib file into "program files\nant-contrib"
use the directive

We're having some issues with NAnt and lc.exe. Specifically with Active
Reports.
My biggest problem is that I really don't understand the whole licensing
procedure.
I started out having to delete the .licenses file because the system was
blowing up if it already existed. Why I had to do this, I
build NAnt first? If so, then you should point the nant.dir

Build.bat?
Just getting around to testing this out and there is no build.bat. No build
bat in the nightly build(040723), no build.bat in the 0.84 release.
Build.bat would be a great thing and I would love to test it.
can you post the contents of the build.bat that you have?
Thanks in advance

Your post is fantastic, to the point, wonderful, and among the best quick howto
on NAntContrib that I have seen.
The sad thing is that I NEVER would have happened upon that post on my own.
The only reason I have installed NantContrib where I did was because
A) people said to
B) I couldn't
not sure what I need to do about the first problem.
I should probably be passing this to the NAnt Contrib list shouldn't I?
Thanks

to notice what else.
Thanks

Gert,
I've got the same problem. (Please see the caveats at the end of this.)
I've got a project that is composed of a bunch of DLL that launch reports.
In each project we have a report launcher that is just a small exe that
exercises the dll.
I have set the solution task to exclude the launc

After thinking about it for a bit, I'll repeat what I said earlier, Typed
properties would be cool.
That being said, I think that it should be looked at and placed on the road map
somewhere down the road. Around .87 or .88.
We have been 7 months without a "release". We can't keep adding new fea

I'm not currently doing anything with NAnt that would require this much power,
but it would be nice to have.

Looks like my mail to the list is getting bumped as spam,
I'm going to try putting the list in the TO field as opposed to the CC field.
A couple of things
I am trying to get NAnt accepted at a fortune 500 transportation company, and
am a bit frustrated.
I'm trying to install nant on a win

I've been using the nant-0.85-20040525 build with some success, and for the
most part the tag works there.
the current build nant-0.85-20040707 didn't like the space in my "Program
Files" directory.
Are there any plans on putting out a new "stable build"? I've never been able

I've been using the May 25th release with good results, it's the one I would
recommend.
I only started playing with NAnt in February. With the "found 2004, expected
2003" error, I have NEVER been able to get the "stable" release to work.
