Thinking about this some more - I think it’s likely that interlaced video (in
which each key frame consists of a pair of successive frames, rather than just
one) just won’t work with our ‘trick play’ mechanism. (I don’t recall ever
testing this with interlaced video.)
If that’s the case, then
