Yes I did base it on version 4.7.1.
Regarding the spaces... well, I said the patch is incomplete. The extra spaces
are the result of me playing around with printf for debugging :). The patch
needs extra work to make i

The patch seems to do the work. It does however add extra spaces where it
shouldn't.
Did you base this on the latest master?
