Quick tutorial:
To get the new repo (checkout)
git clone git://anongit.kde.org/kmymoney
This will create a kmymoney folder where you run the command.
To update it, from within kmymoney folder, run:
git pull --rebase
To list remote branches, you query the origin repo
git remote show origin

In general, for the master branch (trunk in SVN)
Yes. And for that basic workflow, it's just as simple as SVN.
The most burden will be placed on the people who have to actually push
(commit) stuff to git.
