I run a script to download and compile the SVN version once or twice a
week. Will there be instructions somewhere on how to do this from git
once the source is moved?

In general, for the master branch (trunk in SVN) you can do
git clone git://anongit.kde.org/kmymoney
for the initial checkout (just replace 'svn co ...') and
git pull
for the updates (replace 'svn up').
