Portable Drive Bay 2000 Doesn't
It doesn't work on any of my Ubuntu systems, physical or virtual. (I've
tried it on a few Thinkpads as well which is how I know the PCMCIA
adapter works.) This is my everyday system so I can't install the beta
version of (K)ubuntu on the physical host. Come October when 13.10 is
officially relea

04ce:0002 [Gigabyte P55A-UD3] Portable Dri
The problem still exists in Kubuntu 13.10 witht he 3.12 kernel
requested. Tested on the P55A-UD3. The device still works great on the
same machine when passed through to a Windows 8.1 VM in Oracle
VirtualBox 4.3.
Thinkpad X61 Tablet is still able to identify the device as bootable and
Xubuntu 12
I'm not sure, I reported this bug shortly after obtaining the device. I
do see bug #1046712 indicating the problem exists in precise and bug
#336189 indicates it may have been once fixed for Intrepid.

I believe Wireshark is capable of capturing the data off the USB bus?
Would it, by any chance, help if I tried to get a capture of the device
