confirmed the same issue running groovy on a Xiaomi redmibook(alc256m
with intel dmic), stock kernel detects dmic and drops to sst driver,
which won't work at all, disabling dmic detection in alsa enables
speakers but 3.5mm only works as mono, solutions about intel sst driver
need to be backported
And the following kernels don't work for me, still no soundcard
lspci: 00:1f.3 Multimedia audio controller [0401]: Intel Corporation Sunrise
Point-LP HD Audio [8086:9d71] (rev 21)
dmesg: [ 41.044565] snd_hda_intel :00:1f.3: DSP detected with PCI
class/subclass/prog-if info 0x040100
[ 41.
I have 8086:9d71 on a Xiaomi Redmi laptop and it dose cause some
sides. If you simply disable the SST driver and fallback to the legacy
hda driver, despite the various NID pin errors on different machines,
the digital microphone won't work at all. Maybe the only solution to
this is to 1)looking for
tplg binary can be compiled with the .conf file provided with that repo,
it should enable SST driver at least.
