Reporting after a long time, but the s2idle=deep does not really fix anything.
Just made it less frequent if at all. Since then I have upgraded to 20.04 and
the issue is there.
I have essentially given up on using any kind of power management on this
laptop under Ubuntu.

Indeed if you installed the driver yourself then we can't support it via
an Ubuntu task, so that makes it 'Invalid'. But it looks like Ubuntu
20.04.1 does have the 'rt2800pci' driver built-in if you install its
latest 5.8 kernel. Please try that via:
