Dell Inspiron 7559 fans do not shut off once started, even when cool

May there be a regression since Ubuntu 17.04? I have the described
problems with my Lenovo ThinkPad T460s: Closing the lid will suspend
Ubuntu. After opening the lid the screen is either black (no backlight)
or (since Ubuntu 17.10) the lock screen is shown but the system is
freezed.

mdadm is the preferred tool for managing those these days.

I do not know how to do that. Interestingly, the drag and drop issue
seems to be tied to the desktop. I can drag a photo from the pictures
folder to the desktop (it copies rather than move) but not from the
desktop to the photos folder.

I started a kernel bisect between v4.11 final and v4.12-rc1. The kernel

Dell Inspiron 7559 fans do not shut off once started
Hi Daniel, thank you for helping out. I can report that the issues are
back today (After 2 days of working). This time is crazy, it breaks more
often. I had to reinstall the whole 17.10 and of course it happens but
less often (Like the original bug report).

Since my upgraded from Kubuntu 14.04 to 16.04, my audio settings are not stored
properly any longer.
When I reboot, the audio comes through the built-in audio speakers of my
