I thank you for your help.
A few days ago, the update manager suggested a new installation of
kernel 53 along with other packages. While reviewing the logs, one entry
caught my attention as it checks whether the kernel boots properly:

Since you were able to provide good/bad versions, lets try in that range.
Using good: 6.8.0-51 and bad: 6.8.0-52 let's try a kernel bisect.
I have prepared the first kernel for you to test in this range. Please
