I have the BIOS A05 and the card reader dont work. Previously in natty
or hardy, the card reader work with a patch all "rts_pstor" but now i
cant install the patch.
I'm on Xubuntu 14.04.

1) As I said in comment #17, at one point, using the same hardware and the same
BIOS, it used to work. So, it is *not* necessary to update the BIOS to fix this
issue.

unwilling to update the BIOS, this report is at a standstill. The
upstream card maintainer has made it quite clear an outdated BIOS would
need to be updated to rule this out. While exception to this could
