In my setup, I have 2 partitions after the Ubuntu partition (sda5).
While update-grub runs through, the os-prober seems to abort and never
finds the following Windows 10 partition.

screen and the first two lines of kernel log visible as a frozen static

The kernel 5.1.0-050100rc1 boots successfully, but it's necessary for my
system to log in via ssh since the nvidia driver is missing.
Is bisection still necessary (it's a lot of work) when we know that 5.1
boots fine? I can wait until there's a 5.1 kernel and do with 4.19 until

reported chiefly because I cannot debug or investigate of my own.
Regarding the cheese issue, the exact same issue arises when just using
uvcvideo, so it is definitely something passed on from the driver.

Issue started after one of the updates. Prior kernel version difficult
to pinpoint, since the bug seems to happen only after cold boots, not
after a warm boot.
WORKAROUND: Start computer, restart after boot process completed.
4.16rc4 didn't show the symptoms, but was unusable since zfs is missing
