The kernel 5.1.0-050100rc1 boots successfully, but it's necessary for my system to log in via ssh since the nvidia driver is missing.
Is bisection still necessary (it's a lot of work) when we know that 5.1 boots fine? I can wait until there's a 5.1 kernel and do with 4.19 until then. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1820695 Title: 5.0.0 kernels (5.0.0-7 and 5.0.0-8) don't boot Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: System runs fine with previous kernel 4.19.0-13-generic. On kernels 5.0.0-7 and 5.0.0-8, system freezes after GRUB screen on the background picture. Note: The attached logs are done with kernel 4.19.0-13-generic, since the kernels in question don't even boot and give no chance to catch a log.
