This just started happening to me on Ubuntu 23.04 after updating
openssh-client to amd64 1:9.0p1-1ubuntu8.5 for some reason.

I have an RTX 3080 and the 515-open driver is recommended right at the
top of the list marked as tested. I switched to it off of the 515 non-
open version and nothing could detect my GPU anymore. I rebooted and
lost brightness control with brightness pinned to max and the NVIDIA
2 matches
