As requested in the DebuggingTouchpadDetection [2] guidelines, I have
gathered and attached the required hardware information. I hope this

A few hours later I wanted to continue work (without mouse) and woke up my PC
from standby mode.
Unfortunately the touchpad did not work.
So I put Ubuntu back into standby mode, plugged in a mouse and woke it up
again.
Both Touchpad and mouse worked perfectly again.

Since the last distro upgrade to Kubuntu 14.10 (64 bit) from 14.04
(Kernel 3.13) the WiFi reconnection after suspend to RAM doesn't work
properly anymore.
- WORKAROUND: I switch back to suspend to RAM again and then doing a
