This started sometime ago with with my new monitor. I do not remember
the exact version (upgrades) after which it started, but the screen
flickers excessively when the screen background is white (webpages,
apps, etc.). It may also flicker on darker pages, but that isn't visibl

@ahasenack This bug was initially fixed in Noble
20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.8 which @rickywu verified. We then
reverted the fix in 2.9 for the point release and brought it back in
2.10. The 2.8 and 2.10 packages are identical except for the changelog.
