It appears "UNCLAIMED" in lshw is somewhat common. So I wouldn't take
that to be evidence of a problem although it is suspicious.
What is evidence of a real problem is the Xorg log shows software
rendering is in use:

installing packages in a chroot running on a dataset. Both hung.
I was running 20.10 from the live DVD (downloaded today) with the pre-installed

I just noticed the bug on github that also mentions about potential data
corruption. It looks like we need to recompile zfs with --enable-debug.
