Have still the "corrupted desktop" problem; changing to "proposed" made
that I could no longer resume from hibernate. With "proposed", screen

I have the same problem on Pop!_OS 20.04. I temporarily disabled AER by
using "sudo kernelstub -a pci=noaer".
Ubuntu uses GRUB, so append GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line in
/etc/default/grub adding "pci=noaer".

All of the drives in the pool are SSDs (2x Crucial BX500 (2TB), 1x
SanDisk Ultra 3D (4TB), 1x Samsung 870 QVO (4TB), but obviously don't
perfectly-align, in terms of performance characteristics - but, I'll
