I tried to install stock 20.04.1 ubuntu with 'Install third party pkgs

I hadn't seen this bug before today when I noticed that it's blocking my
kernel in groovy-proposed. I upgraded systemd, and I am seeing this
issue. But when I boot back to 5.4.0-37 the problem persists, so it
doesn't seem to have anything to do with the 5.8 kernel.

Responding to earlier statement in #93:
Replaced the TB16 (240W) with a WD19TB (180W) and issue disappeared. Also no
issues with thunderbolt user authorization setting enabled.
Maybe the hardware differences (usb hub e.g.) between these docks can
help you guys identify the problem.

Hi Santiago,
I read a lot of reports about that model, for sure it's a bug. Where I
read it, the HDMI doesn't work but some people made it works with some
"workarounds". In my case, thoses aren't the same problem as I have.
Maybe you wanna search about it on Launchpad.

I burned a USB device in my new Ubuntu 20.04 desktop, with `sudo dd
if=ubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso of=/dev/sdd` which is completed
successfully(I checked the hash). But when I insert this USB to install
Ubuntu20.04 on new HD, in booting step there happened a serious error
I updated the grub.cfg in comment#6 to be[1]. The changes is the correct
file name initrd --> initrd.gz. And the error message is now:

Patch applied, tested on Xenial and it works.
