While I was waiting for a fix, I've just noticed a new problem.. Now the
transfer speed became very inconsistent. For the first few seconds when
I'm sending TO Ubuntu I get 110MBs (as expected), but then speed drops
to 50, 30, 20 and keeps going up and down for the rest of the files

Can you collect the following:
Backing device baseline (it's possible the underlying disks regressed
instead of the bcache layer). the same fio randrw test against the
underlying backing device with bcache disabled
And with bcache enabled on both setups before and after tuning:
1) grep -r . /sys
I have also verified unity-settings-daemon
15.04.1+16.04.20160701-0ubuntu3 for Xenial.
After connecting a faulty-EDID display - I saw the product name. With a
display device with correct dimensions in EDID - screen diagonal in
inches was displayed.
